Message From the Superintendent |
As we enter the second half of the school year, I want to thank our students, staff, and families for their continued support. This milestone marks a significant opportunity to reflect on the progress our students have made and to renew our focus on finishing the year strong. I encourage families to review second marking period grades and connect with teachers to ensure your children have the support they need for continued success in the months ahead.
I'm pleased to report that our district referendum projects remain on schedule, and we are excited to move forward with the implementation of full-day kindergarten district-wide beginning in September 2026, along with the transition of sixth grade to our middle schools. These transformative changes will enhance educational opportunities for our students and better align our grade configurations to support student development. Safety and security remain paramount to our operations—I encourage you to review the corresponding article and presentation in this newsletter for detailed information on our ongoing security enhancements.
Finally, as winter has firmly taken hold, please ensure your students, especially our youngest learners, have appropriate clothing for the cold weather. Bundle up and stay warm, Bridgewater-Raritan! |

High School Media Center Served as Host to Open House
|
|
|
The Bridgewater-Raritan High School community celebrated the grand opening of its newly renovated Media Center on Thursday, January 29, welcoming students, teachers, and community members to explore the transformed space. Renovated during the summer of 2025, the Media Center has been reimagined as a dynamic learning hub designed to meet the diverse needs of our students. The renovation brings a modern, flexible environment that supports both collaborative work and individual study, reflecting our commitment to providing learning spaces that inspire academic excellence.
The redesigned Media Center features new classroom furniture that creates a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, along with dedicated collaboration centers where students can work together on projects and presentations. New printing stations provide convenient access to essential technology, while carefully designed quiet study areas offer students focused spaces for independent work and research.
These thoughtful improvements transform the Media Center from a traditional library into a versatile learning hub that will serve as a central resource for student success. The High School Media Center is the final piece of our district renovation of the media centers in every school throughout BRRSD. |

School Security Takes Center Stage |
The Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District Board of Education received an update on the district's security team at its meeting on Tuesday, January 20.
Superintendent Robert Beers, joined by Mike Voorhees, Coordinator of District Security, and Ted Lewis, Assistant Coordinator of District Security, presented on the team's evolution, including strategic recruitment efforts, clearly defined responsibilities, and enhanced communication protocols.
Since the security team's implementation, the district has experienced a dramatic decrease in serious disciplinary matters, demonstrating the positive impact of this investment in school safety and climate.

PSE&G has completed the critical transformer installation for the middle school addition after several months of waiting. This milestone puts the project back on target. Energizing the addition will allow the space to be heated, enabling crews to finish temperature-dependent work and move toward completion.
In addition to this progress, the bids for primary school toilet renovations and classroom renovations at Eisenhower Intermediate School have been approved, with work scheduled to start at the end of the school year. Looking ahead, we plan to open bids for the middle school HVAC project next week, which is a multi-year project.
We sincerely thank our community once more for its continued support and flexibility during this transformational period for the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District. |
