Marking Period 2 (MP2)
Throughout December, School counselors are meeting with Juniors for college planning and ensuring they have access to Naviance.
Counselors will continue to meet with students to discuss their academic progress. If you notice that your child may be struggling academically, please encourage them to stay on top of their assignments and connect with their teachers. If your child needs support, they can always meet with their assigned School Counselor for resources and helpful strategies!

Freshman & Sophomores
Join us for Early College Planning Night on December 16, at 6 pm in the Large Cafeteria. This is for Freshman and Sophomores and their parents to review the opportunities at BRHS and the steps to take to create success in the future.
Juniors
Juniors are encouraged to attend Junior Planning Night with your parents on December 10. Counselors will meet with them in December to begin the college search process, utilize Naviance, and review important information.
Seniors
Seniors should be checking their college portals to keep track of application materials. It can take weeks to update them due to the volume of applications they receive, so please be patient if materials still show as missing. Check Naviance to see if counselor documents and teachers' letters have been sent. Be sure to check email regularly as well.

The BRHS Career Concentration Committee would like your help in promoting career exposure activities for students with designated career concentrations in Business, Engineering & Robotics, Computer Science, Music, and/or Visual Arts. Often, staff invite guest speakers or plan field trips that serve as opportunities for potential career exposure. Students participating in these activities are required to submit a reflection to earn exposure hours as a part of the Career Concentration Endorsement they are working toward. If you are planning an activity, please complete the following form:
BRHS Career Concentration Experience Proposal
The Committee will review the proposal and determine if it satisfies the expectations of an exposure activity. If approved, students will be able to submit the associated hours for approval. Please contact Alan Iachini with any questions or concerns that you may have.
Please check the Student Dashboard in the Career Concentration Google Classroom for upcoming events. If you would like to be added to the Google Classroom, please reach out to your assigned School Counselor.
For more information about Career Concentrations, click here. Please direct questions to the student’s assigned School Counselor or send a message to careerconcentrations@brrsd.k12.nj.us
For more information about Career Concentrations, check out our Program of Studies.
